Podcasts have become as prevalent as MySpace pages and Xangas blogs of yesteryear. Everyone seems to have a podcast nowadays. This only provides enough valid reason for me to have one too. I’ve always been open to sharing my ideas, insights, and opinions with others. Typically my thoughts are distributed in spoken conversations or written pieces on UNCVR, but it’s a different experience sharing it through recorded audio. Those intimate conversation reserved for the person in front of me can now be shared with a wider audience.
I actually tried starting a podcast with a couple friends, but the efforts fizzled when we couldn’t find a sticking theme or focus to record consistently. One day I stumbled across the Instagram Story of my friend and former Uber Eats colleague Sonja. She records a number of daily vlogs usually addressing issues she faces as a Millennial and the lightbulb turned flicked on in my head. Ultimately we met up and recorded a few episodes of our podcast “Millennial Trash”. We discuss different hurdles we face as Millennials, a demographic that seems to get chastised a lot by older groups, and share our personal stories we’ve experienced.
“Millennial Trash” is available on Spotify and Apple Music. You can listen to a clip below. Enjoy and please subscribe.
