Twitter is hosting an exclusive evening celebrating creators. The event deemed Twitter  #CULTURECOLLECTIVE is taking place in Los Angeles at the MAMA Gallery on Thursday, January 28th. #CULTURECOLLECTIVE will feature two young creators who are making major moves in their respective fields: Yung Jake and Metro Booming.

The persona Yung Jake was born off the Internet in 2011, while Jake Patterson grew up in Bridgehampton, NY. He attended  the prestigious CalArts, where he received his BFA and honed his skills in traditional mediums like drawing and painting. Yung Jake is exploding in popularity due to this culturally relevant approach to art (e.g. crafting emoji art of celebrities) in addition to his raps.

Yung jakeMetro Booming is a 22 year old producer from Atlanta and he’s one of the hottest producers in hip-hop at the moment, working very closely with big names like Future, Young Thug, Travi$ Scott, Drake. Turn on the radio or go to any club, and you’ll probably hear a Metro Booming track, as it his trap sound is dominating the scene.
