Pandora has made some big moves lately to navigate the tough digital music realm. Streaming music is still a challenging space where no one has really figured out how to monetize it. The company just inked a deal with Sony/ATV deal, the world’s biggest music publisher, to provide songwriters appropriate rates. Additionally, Pandora just acquired Ticketfly with the aim of combining online music discovery with real life concert experiences. It’ll be interesting to see how it does over the next year with intense competition and cloudy business outlooks from investors.
