Aaron Carmack aka Mr. Carmack looks to his everyday experiences as inspiration for his music, and the writer/producer/ DJ’s eclectic personal story has helped him progressively fuse hip-hop and dance music. Mr. Carmack was born and raised in San Francisco, where he grew up playing piano and drums. He then attended/ dropped out of college in Long Beach and spent 3 years in Oahu, Hawaii where he balanced time in the food industry and as a producer. During that time, he was honing his craft and relied on selling songs on Bandcamp for income. His self-released Bang, Vol 3 and Life/Death EP both were #1 best selling albums on the site.
Over the years, Mr. Carmack has worked diligently to become an ultra-talented producer who is now selling out shows all across the world and teaming up with heralded production crews Team Supreme, Soulection, and even Pharrell. He’s released a number of EPs, which can be found on his Soundcloud page, in addition to a variety of remixes. His sound is very dynamic, ranging from some very experimental compositions, to trappy beats, to ambient instrumentals. His newest project White EP is a high energy collection of five songs available for free on his website. After familiarizing yourself with all of Carmack’s music, you can then catch his Brooklyn stop of his World Tour.
Mr. Carmack will be performing at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on Friday, January 22nd. Tickets are currently on sale from $15-$30. He’s supported by Sam Gallaitry and Teeko. Expect the event to be active as hard hitting beats will be slapping out of the sound system.
