How can Miguel not perform “All I Want Is You” at every concert he’s in? It was the single that helped him break into the spotlight, introducing the world to an intriguing, new voice in R&B.  “All I Want Is You” also featured an up-and-coming rapper by the name of J.Cole. Once the infection four notes hit at the beginning of the Salaam Remi produced track, you can’t help but start nodding to the percussions and bassline. The song peaked at #7 on the Billboard R&B list, has 36 million views of the official music video on YouTube, and almost 25 million plays on Spotify. How can Miguel not shut the show down with this hit?

Miguel’s performance at the KCRW’s first Sound in Focus concert of the summer was great, but I was anticipating “All I Want Is You” throughout the show, waiting for the four notes to drop. But nothing. He dropped “Adorn”, “How Many Drinks”, “Sure Thing” and so much more.

But no “All I Want Is You”.

The show ended. Great show Miguel. But only 95% satisfied.
