In addition to being the best basketball player in the world, LeBron James is a rising mogul. Having some business savviness, James has made some solid investments that could help me become the first billionaire athlete. One is his digital media company, UNINTERRUPTED, which he launched with friend and business partner Maverick Carter. James and Carter launched the venture at the end of 2015 as a channel for athletes to offer first-person stories. It differs from Derek Jeter’s Players Tribune website in that UNINTERRUPTED focused on video, which is a smart movie in today’s content consumption scene.

During this past NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans, LeBron and Carter brought together Draymond Green, 2 Chainz, Steve Stoute, and other friends to a local barbershop to engage in candid banter about sports, music, business, and other hot topics. The barbershop is typically the go-to destination for great debates, as most people aren’t afraid to speak their minds, and in “The Shop” everyone is unfiltered.

It’s always interesting to hear the point of view of someone who’s living and breathing the role. LeBron shares some personal stories, especially the dilemma of returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Check out the 30-minute video of “The Shop”, produced by UNINTERRUPTED, below. It’s very well done, so hopefully they come out more from the series.
