Trap Kitchen in Compton, California is a business venture founded by  Malachi aka “Chef Spank” and his best-friend Roberto “Sous Chef News”. Interesting enough, both chefs looked beyond their gang affiliations (Malachi being a Crips andRoberto a Blood) to collaborate on an opportunity that has brought the cooking duo a ton of noteriety. Trap Kitchen has provided catering services throughout Los Angeles and beyond, feeding a number of celebrities, and recently released a cookbook that showcases its verstatile menu. Hypebeast recently met up Chef Spank and Sous Chef News to learn more about how they started Trap Kitchen, while watching the two break down a recipe for Jerk Chicken and Shrimp Pineapple Bowls and a Bacardi infused Pineapple Rum Cake.
