All urban explorers need durable and enduring footwear that not only produces exceptional performance as they trek urban jungles, but also provides a fresh sense of style. As the footwear supplier of modern culture, Nike recently launched a pop-up shop in New York City dedicated to providing urban hikers with high performance sneakerboots and winder apparel, all of which are critical as the temperature starts to drop in Gotham. Nike Hike NYC sits at 135 Bowery St in Downtown Manhattan and serves several purposes. First, it exhibits Nike’s ACG (All Condition Gear) label, which is relaunching on December 3rd with Acronym’s designer Errolson Hugh taking over as head creative. Visitors to Nike Hike NYC can check out the innovative high performance gear in addition to the new sneakerboot silhouette, the Nike Flyknit Lupinek SFB. Nike Hike NYC also showcases the history of the sneakerboot, tracing its lineage all the way back to traditional runners like the Cortezs, Air Max 1s and 95s. Lastly, Nike Hike NYC will serve as a meeting spot for urban hikers to go on several urban explorations led by selected individuals.

Nike Hike NYC is open until November 29th, so if you’re in the area, swing by to check it out. Also, sign up for some of the hikes. NYC is the perfect place to explore with all its rich history and the infinite number of nooks and crannies. I actually explored the legendary Freedom Tunnel over a year ago, and it was quite the expedition.
