Happy FEELS TRIP day! First up, we got Else from the young French collective L’ordre Collectif with “1979” a groovy house track with a funky bass line, the perfect warm up song to off start the weekend. Next up, audio and visual artist duo Louis Vivet comes through with “Best Thing” a melodic house original featuring beautiful vocals from LA based singer Gavrielle. Also from LA, singer/songwriter/producer Imad Royal and New Orleans based rapper Pell are “Down For Whatever” in this smooth, trap drums filled alt-RnB track.
Moving onto something a little bit more poppy, Prince Fox puts his future pop spin on Felix Jaehn’s and Jasmine Thompson’s Summer hit “Ain’t Nobody.” Coming off a slew of fire releases last year, NYC remix master Gryffin dropped his original debut “Heading Home” featuring vocals from Australian pop singer Josef Salvat. Another awesome remixer, sunset house producer SNBRN released “Gangsta Walk” an instant house anthem featuring unreleased vocals licensed from the estate of the late g-funk pioneer Nate Dogg.
Blue haired bass queen Mija takes Darren Styles’ classic hardcore dance track “Come Running” and flips it and slows it down with a chilled out future twist. Irvine duo Slander blessed us with a new heaven trap original featuring angelic vocals from singers Matthew Steeper and Hailene.
Closing out we have two tracks that are a little different from the normal for these trips. Russia’s own 813, from Diplo’s Mad Decent label, takes Zedd’s and Nicky Romero’s electro house hit “Human” and remixed it into a bouncy jersey club song. We end with Darren Styles and Gammer remixed “Sad Machine,” one of my favorite songs off Porter Robinson’s WORLDS album, into a happy hardcore track reminiscent of something out of a DDR soundtrack.
Hope you enjoy!
