Scooter Braun is one of the most successful and influential figures in today’s music industry. From being an early member of Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def label, to guiding the careers of Justin Bieber and other major acts, to leading major charitable work that’s raised millions of dollars for social causes. However, the rise to the top of the entertainment world didn’t come without a number of bumps. Rather than caving into difficult obstacles that would’ve derailed many, Braun fought through the challenges and pursued his passions. Recently Complex connected with Scooter Braun for its “Blueprint” series, which provides an intimate one-on-one conversion with successful entrepreneurs. In the site down chat, Braun recalls his career from college party promoter to managing names like Bieber, Kanye West, and Martin Garrix. One of the standout moments from the interview was the revelation of Brand’s professional motivations. He’s extremely inspired by the naysayers, leveraging their doubt as motivation to accomplish the impossible. Watch the Complex “Blueprint” interview below.
